Both Albert and Emma Woods were born in Indiana; he in 1877, she in 1876. Their home was listed in two different African American travel guides. The first was in 1930 Hackley and Harrison’s Hotel and Apartment Guide for Colored Travelers. The second was the Green Book starting in 1939. Albert Woods worked as a construction laborer, at one point with Kokomo Brass Works. Emma passed away in 1946 and Albert in 1947. The Woods’ did not have children.
